Caring for you and your family

Our approach

At Collier Trenerry we are committed to helping families achieve the very best farewell.

We pride ourselves on being supportive and caring, and we focus on helping families find healing and closure through the process. We know from experience, it’s the little things which sometimes make the biggest difference.

We take the time to listen

We offer compassionate care before, during and after the service, to take the stress out of saying goodbye. We endeavour to carry our families through the dark and difficult times of loss, and lead them back into the sunshine of life, by offering a memorable farewell ceremony.

Our team of experts will guide you through the process, whether you’re planning ahead for your own funeral, or arranging a service for a loved one.

We follow a trusted process

First appointment

Initially we’ll meet with you at your home or in our offices. This appointment is an opportunity for us to hear about the person who has passed away, their loves, hobbies and passions, their family bonds and initial ideas for the funeral.

Registering the death

We will apply to Births, Deaths & Marriages to register the death, and source a certified copy of the Death Certificate which will be required for legal and financial purposes.

Setting a date and time

Together, we’ll settle a preferred date and time for the service, based on cemetery, crematorium and officiant availability, and distances from which friends and family will be travelling.

Choosing between burial and cremation

We can take you through the different options available, and the processes followed with each. We’ll also outline the factors to consider with burial or cremation, if you’re still unsure which is the right solution.

Your final farewell

The caring staff at Collier Trenerry will offer you a final viewing of your loved one as a chance to say a final goodbye.

Funeral venue

There are many options available for funeral venues including graveside, church, chapel, family home or venue such as a golf club or sports club. You might also like to consider a location with cultural or religious significance.

Making it personal

We’ll work with you to commemorate the life that was lived, and help you make the funeral a personal and fitting farewell. Photos, music, poetry, readings, stories and memorabilia are some of the things which can add personality to the service. We also offer photo slide presentations and have a professional photographer/videographer so that no moment is lost, if you so desire.

Should you wish to meet up with friends and family for refreshments after the service your Funeral Director will offer suggestions or arrange the venue and refreshments.
